Dr. Patil also represented Rutgers School of Dental Medicine at the international level and served as the Congress Mentor at the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP)'s World Congress on Pain. He is an Ad-hoc reviewerfor the Quintessence Publishing's Journal of Oral & Facial Pain and Headache.
Dr. Patil travels widely all over the country sharing his knowledge and expertise in dentistry through Continuing Dental Education programs in Digital Dentistry and Smile Design. He truly believes -
Dr. Patil is the Presiding Chairman of Greater New York Dental Meeting, USA since November 2015. He is on the Editor Review Board of the International Journal of Scientific and Engineering Research. He has given lectures on aesthetic dentistry, orofacial pain, and TMJ disorders nationally and internationally.
Dr. Patil is the past President of Maharashtra State Dental Students Welfare Association of India and has authored several articles on latest technologies, future research and treatment modalities in the field of dentistry. He is the active member of many national and international dental organizations. For research work and achievements, he has been credited the membership of International Association of Dental Students and Young Dentists Worldwide.
Dr. Patil has invented Pico-hydro-electric toothbrush which is energy harvesting. He has been appointed as the Clinical Faculty and Clinical Research Coordinator at Indian Dental Association, Head Office, Mumbai. He holds numerous continuing dental education courses in aesthetic dentistry in collaboration with University of California San Francisco and Indian Dental Association. Also, Dr. Patil has been the Adjunct Dentist on the cosmetic dental panel of Bollywood beauty pageants.
Dr. Patil has been a part of an extensive research conducted by Dr. Fine and Dr. Loos to develop a new classification system for Aggressive Periodontitis. The research article on “Classification and diagnosis of aggressive periodontitis” is published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Periodontology, 2018 and Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 2018.
Amey G Patil completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, India. He has successfully completed his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree in September 2016 from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Newark, USA. He served as the Chief Resident of the Center for Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders, Department of Diagnostic Sciences. He completed a Fellowship in Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry (FACD) from New York University College of Dentistry, New York City, USA. He served the Department of Oral Biology, Diagnostic Sciences, and Restorative Dentistry as a Research Teaching Specialist and currently working as an RBHS Instructor - Faculty in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Diagnostic Sciences, Center for Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Newark, USA.
The research is highlighted in the official proceedings from the 2017 World Workshop on the “Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions” by the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and co-presented by European Federation of Periodontology (EFP).
